Cairo
Cairo is the capital of Egypt. It has a unique mix of medieval buildings, skyscrapers, shopping malls and museums packed with ancient relics. Cairo’s main square is Midan Tahrir at the centre of Cairo here you can find the Egyptian Museum and the busy commercial district of downtown Cairo which is bordered by the River Nile. Go west to find of the magnificent Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.
Luxor
Luxor is by far the best bet for ancient Egyptian history. The most notable attractions are the glorious Temple of Luxor (lit every night) and the Temple of Karnak, both truly unforgettable sights. In the evening at the Temple of Karnak there is a Sound and Light show where visitors can walk through the columned halls in near darkness and hear the almost haunting sounds of its past.
Sharm El Sheikh
With the Red Sea on one side and Mount Sinai on the other, Sharm El Sheikh is a favourite destination with scuba divers who come to see the stunning coral reefs, exotic fish and enjoy the warm waters. The area boasts dramatic landscapes, long sandy beaches and a dry temperate climate all year round. A rapid growth in tourism over the past few years has seen the area develop into a well-established holiday destination with a variety of leisure activities including water sports, sailing, golf and desert safaris.
El Gouna
El Gouna is built on 10kms of scenic beachfront, which boasts unique and diverse architecture, spread across a myriad of islands interlinked together by turquoise lagoons.
